ABOUT THE CONSULTANTS
> Lucien Pierce is the founder and director of Phukubje Pierce Masithela Attorneys (PPM attorneys), a boutique commercial law firm focusing on commercial, regulatory and compliance aspects of ICT, information security and data protection. Lucien has been involved in media and technology law for 20 years.
In his current position, he is responsible for representing clients on the commercial, regulatory and compliance aspects of information and communication technology, information security and data protection law. Prior to joining PPM Attorneys, Lucien worked at Webber Wentzel, where he was responsible for advising clients on telecommunications, data protection and privacy law issues.
Before that, he worked at the London law firm Bird & Bird and global telecommunications company Cable & Wireless. Lucien sits on the Disciplinary Committee of South Africa’s Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors, is a Board member of the International Social Media Association, and is a member of the Law Society of South Africa’s DIGITAL LEADers advisory group.
Lucien earned a BCom LLB from University of Durban-Westville, and an LLM in IT and Telecommunications from University of Strathclyde in Scotland. He is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
> Delphine Daversin is a consultant at PPM attorneys.
She worked as a French qualified lawyer in a Paris law firm focusing on the Media and IT industry for 5 years. She then worked for 5 years in Russia as an in-house consultant in the IT sector, before joining a Germany head-quartered international law firm, heading their Malaysian office in Kuala Lumpur and advising European companies on their local investments.
Delphine joined PPM in 2017. With 15 years’ experience including 10 years in a multi-cultural business environment, her versatile profile allows PPM to consult her and leverage her experience on aspects of both legal and commercial matters.
She has excellent experience and knowledge of IT/IP laws and data protection laws and regulations.
Delphine obtained two post graduate degrees in business law and IT/IP Law from the University of Paris Pantheon-Sorbonne (France) in 2000 and 2001 and passed the Paris Bar Exam in 2002..
